End the Cuban Embargo

Created by S.M. on February 08, 2013

Since 1960, The United States has imposed a full embargo on Cuba in hopes of deposing the Castro Regime. This has obviously been a failure and even a crutch that Cuba leans on as an excuse for their own economic woes that the embargo is only partially to blame for. This failed policy is a relic of the Cold War and thus should be swept into the dustbin of history.

It is our right as American citizens to be able to travel anywhere in the world we so please. This country was founded on individual liberty which is being restricted by this ineffective, outdated embargo. No other country be it China, Vietnam, or even North Korea (all Communist countries just like Cuba) has such travel restrictions. End this absurd policy and let us travel and trade with one of our closest neighboring countries
