End the Cuban Trade Embargo

Created by P.M. on January 29, 2014

For over half a century the United States has held a disastrous, unjust, and unwarranted embargo against Cuba and its a policy that is just shameful. There is no embargo on Iran, North Korea or any other communist nation. There are countless clear cut reasons to end the embargo:

1. First and foremost the embargo is not hurting the Castro's but the average Cuban.

2. The embargo prevents communication, creating an environment of isolation for Cubans.

3. The embargo fuels anti-american sentiments and propaganda and allows the failing government to blame their economic crisis on the US.

4. Finally the US must realized that Cuba is changing, Fidel is no longer the leader and a free market has begun to emerge since 2011

The Cold War has ended; America must must join the 21st Century.
