Ending the current tax system and allowing a flat-tax system in it's place would not only ensure that the tax system is easier to understand, but it would ensure that there are no loopholes and no way to evade paying taxes.
People and businesses that are currently "not taxed" or taxed at an extremely low rate will no longer be able to avoid paying their "fair share".
If we enabled a flat-tax system, say by taking all federal taxes off of our gross income and putting a 15-25% tax on all items purchased, then we would all, businesses included, pay whatever the going tax rate is, regardless of our lawyers or banks in Ireland.
This closes every single loophole for businesses and consumers and simplifies the tax system. It ensures that EVERYONE pays equally.
