End Daylight Saving Time and the bi-annual time change

Created by S.R. on October 08, 2015

Daylight Saving Time is an outdated ritual in our modern time.

Most people do not stop working, shopping, or enjoying themselves after the sun has gone down. The most cited reason for maintaining DST, energy savings, does not make logical sense. The amount of daylight remains the same no matter what the clock shows.

Studies have shown that changing the clocks leads to health problems (including increased heart attack and vehicular accident risks) and results in hundreds of thousands of hours of lost productivity in workplaces across the country. Plus: when most of the year is spent on DST why are the other 4 months called "Standard"?

Please consider eliminating DST or making it year round.
