The Department of Transportation should end Daylight Saving Time due to the cost of an estimated $434,000,000.00 in loss of production and medical costs associated with the change in time. The change in time studies in the Energy Policy Act of 2007 should be revisited as they are older than 5 years. Energy use studies have been challenged and do not show the expected savings. The affect of the change in time should also be considered in the health of citizens and the affect of circadian rhythm of humans which directly affects their production on the job. The Department of Health and Human services should be consulted more closely about the effects. Petition is to request Congress to END daylight saving time for all states; End the Time change process for all.
