Daylight Savings Time was a good idea at the time, but is now obsolete. Why not abolish it and end this incovenient practice of resetting our clocks and sleep schedules twice a year?
Most offices leave the lights on all day anyway, farmers adjust their work schedules by the sun (not the clock), and there are now very few good reasons to continue the practice. Japan, India, and China all do NOT have Daylight Savings Time and several countries have already discontinued it.
At this point, I think it would actually SAVE money to NOT have to remind everyone to reset their clocks.
