end Daylight Savings Time.

Created by W.H. on October 17, 2015

There is no logical reason for Daylight Savings Time to exist. By observing DST, most Americas lose out on an hour of sleep in the morning, and must awaken during the dark pre-dawn hours. This is especially noticeable in the weeks immediately following the spring time change, and the weeks leading up to the fall time change, disrupting our natural sleep cycles, leaving us with less energy during the day. This makes us less alert, costs companies by making workers less productive, and creates the potential for more accidents on the roads and in workplaces.
The arguments for the observance of DST are theoretical. The main argument for observing DST is that is saves energy by decreasing the need for artificial lighting in the evening. If it saves energy, it should be in effect all year.
