Back during World War II, we were trying all sorts of ways to conserve energy. Using Daylight Savings Time then made some sense. Today, however, we have outstripped the usefulness of DST and now it is an anachronistic irritation twice a year. We should move to full-time on one or the other of Daylight Savings Time or Standard Time. We don't care which, but end the outdated switching back and forth!
