End Daylight Savings Time.

Created by J.M. on March 09, 2014

It is time to end daylight savings time (DST). Research has proven that it saves minimal if any energy and instead causes havoc in our lives twice a year. Car accidents, heart attacks and lower worker productivity have all shown to increase due to setting our clocks forward in Spring and back in Fall. The biannual time changes associated with DST disrupt the natural human circadian rhythm. It is hard to change your routine by an hour leaving one restless at night and drowsy and miserable during the day for days. Even the eating schedule is disrupted. Information systems such as computerized medical records in hospitals and doctors offices must be programmed to accommodate for the missing or extra hour in the day. DST also makes travel confusing since not all states/countries honor it.
