Although daylight savings time is not unique to the United States, an informal poll via social media reveals it is wildly unpopular. In the spring, we wake up in darkness, in the fall, we turn the lights on at 4pm. Our children don't go to bed easily, we are tired, we are grouchy, we are confused. We need to readjust for friends and neighbors in states and countries where sanity reigns and there is no changing of the clocks. We go to work an hour early or an hour late.
We ask the White House and Congress to end the practice of Daylight Savings Time, keep us on a regular schedule and end the madness.
