We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

End Daylight SavingsTime

Created by J.J. on May 20, 2016

Article 1, section 8 of the Constitution instructs Congress to "fix the Standard of Weights and Measures." There is arguably no more important measure than how we measure our time. Beginning in World War I, under the belief that shifting our clocks forward and backward through the year would lead to a decrease in energy consumption, we began using Daylight Saving Time. However, scholars have noted that Daylight Saving Time has resulted in an increase of both electricity bills and pollution emissions. Furthermore, the act of shifting the clock forward and backward creates unnecessary difficulty and work. It makes people tired, decreases productivity, and throws a wrench in our schedules, all for no energy benefit.

I believe Congress should do away with Daylight Saving Time.
