This petition asks the President to use his pardoning powers to commute all current death sentences to life in prison without parole and to use his powers as Commander in Chief to issue an executive order eliminating the option of the death penalty in military cases. The President should publicly endorse The Federal Death Penalty Abolition Act (HR 3501) and campaign for its passage.
