Ending a human life is the most serious action a government can take and should require extraordinary circumstances to justify. Given that our justice system can never be perfect, it follows that there should be no penalty that cannot be revoked in cases where the justice system makes a mistake.
Based on this simple idea, abolish the death penalty in order to improve our justice system and respect human life.
