End the Debt Ceiling. The Department of the Treasury will automatically be authorized to pay bills passed by Congress.

Currently, US payment of bills are authorized twice. Once by votes in Congress, and then again, via the vote to raise the Debt Ceiling. This petition would eliminate the second vote, the Debt Ceiling vote. Congress can control spending and credit simply by not voting for bills deemed too expensive. The Debt Ceiling "Vote" could not be grounds for grand standing by either party. A credit downgrade for the US or world economic issues would be avoided. Other countries do not pay their debts by requiring a vote to raise their Debt Ceilings.
