End Department of Justice suppression of Occupy Wall Street and instead use those resources to protect free speech.

Created by M.R. on November 17, 2011

The Department of Justice is actively coordinating and advising with mayors across the country to conduct violent suppression actions against Occupy Wall Street. The actions have led to police violence against peaceful protesters, including women, the elderly, the press and veterans. Free speech is being trammeled. Harsh anti-riot tactics are inappropriate against non-violent protests. Instead, the Justice Department should be insuring the rights of these protesters to exercise their free speech rights and protecting them from undue harm by local authorities. The Obama administration should be listening to the concerns of these protesters, not silencing them. America can no longer be a beacon of freedom if this light no longer shines in our beloved country.
