End discrimination against single peole by abolishing Legal Marriage for both Gay and Heterosexual partners

Created by J.J. on March 12, 2015

States attempted to correct discrimination against gays by legalizing gay marriage, but, they missed the whole point. Gay couples want the right to marry so they can enjoy the same rights and privileges as heterosexual married couples. That is fine, in a simplistic view, but, when one group has perks, those not in the group have to pay for them. Allowing gay couples to marry just let them change sides from the payers to the takers leaving less payers supporting more takers. To end this unfair discrimination, we should eliminate legal marriage and treat everyone as a single person (couples could still be married in religious or other legally non-binding ceremonies).
