End discrimination against those who choose to continue smoking cigarettes.

Created by R.W. on November 15, 2012

Tobacco use is not illegal & should not be treated as such.

It should be illegal to test for nicotine as a condition of employment.

Landlords should not have the right to impose a "no smoking" rule as a condition of the lease.

Out of respect for "non-smokers" who have advocated for "no indoor smoking" due to allergies, respiratory problems, etc., designated outdoor smoking areas should be provided in the public. These areas should include adequate heating/cooling, ventilation, cleanliness, & privacy to avoid menacing glares from "non-smokers".

It should be illegal to impose higher taxes for tobacco products than other products sold to the public. Makeup, perfume, clothing, alcohol, all also legal in this country, do not have the same % of tax imposed.
