End Discrimination Based on Sexual Orientation

Created by H.B. on March 08, 2013

In the United States and it's territories, discrimination against LGBT persons is still legally permissible in most states.

I have found that this discrimination is seen most palpably at my university, Liberty University, where gay students and employees are forbidden from being open about their identity. Being a gay student myself, Liberty University is a hostile environment where LGBT people are easily dismissed because no one dares to stand up for themselves for fear of expulsion if they were found out.

For the advancement of our society, it is essential that we no longer tolerate discrimination based on sexual orientation or identity in our educational institution.

Please sign my petition to the President to extend the Civil RIghts Act of 1964 to include LGBT rights.
