end discrimination by internet providers (and other similar businesses) who withhold services based on location.

Created by R.N. on May 04, 2014

If one lives in a rural area or an area that an internet provider deems unfit, they will withhold service based on that fact. That is discrimination based on where a citizen chooses to live. If a citizen is willing to pay for a service, is it not the businesses role to provide it? These deliberate actions by service providers suppress an individual's ability to access information and communicate. People who are being denied internet access need to unite against the providers and legitimize this issue in the policy realm so that a solution may be reached.
