The sexual preferences of a person should NOT be a factor in determining the amount of rights that person has. How people can pass laws based upon religious upbringing is absurd.
The days when lawmakers could pass laws restricting people's rights have passed. We no longer live in a society where slaves are legal, where people cannot vote, where some people are not allowed to get married.
My apologies, I forgot that a country as 'free' and 'liberated' as the USA would allow restrictions on marriages for certain types of people. Undo this great injustice in this country. Join the Gay Rights Movement.
