In early 2012 the Department of Health in the United Kingdom asked for comments on a pilot study to 'assess alternative policies that would allow some gay and bisexual men to donate blood.'"
The Time for assessment is over. It is blatant discrimination against homosexuals. This rule is outdated and misguided and only perpetuates the negative stereotypes about gay men.
Equality comes in many forms and even the smallest issues warrant critical examination and this issue is neither small or equal.
