Discrimination in the workplace has always been a major issue in society whether it was due to gender, race, or sexual orientation. Yet everyone seems to turn a blind eye to the difficulties presented to individuals who have tattoos. In the current economic climate this country is in we cannot afford to refuse to hire individuals because they use their body as a canvas to display artwork that they hold dear. Just because an individual has tattoos does not make them less or more qualified to uphold low and high level positions in a work environment. A person with tattoos can be just as intelligent and dedicated to their craft and profession as anyone else; black, white, male, female, homosexual or otherwise. We should no longer be considered Pariahs in the professional world.
