This policy disproportionately affects young minorities and those who live in low income neighborhoods.A person's chances of getting a job should be based on their competence to perform well on the job and not preconceptions and stereotypes that is associated with drug use.Take for example a person who is a chronic alcoholic, yet passes a drug test since drug test do not screen for alcohol; is this person more likely to perform better on a job than someone who is a chronic drug user?
