End the economic blockade of Cuba, and establish normal diplomatic and trade relations with the Cuban government

Created by K.B. on October 09, 2011

The United States has maintained a state of utter hostility towards the Republic of Cuba for more than forty-five years now.

It served no purpose at the outset.

It serves no purpose now.

There is no chance that preserving the status-quo between the U.S. and Cuba will produce anything positive for the U.S. There is no chance that it will ever create a better life for the people of Cuba.

The only reason the embargo remains in place is the arrogance of past U.S. presidents.

Be better than that, Mr. President.

Accept the reality that there's no reason any longer to continue the state of hostilities and non-recognition with the Republic of Cuba. Move on from that and let both countries move into the future

The Cold War is over. The U.S./Cuba war should end as well.
