End the eight-year MSO policy, disband the Individual Ready Reserve for Veterans of the U.S. Military.

The backdoor-draft of veterans in this country must come to an end.
When a prospective soldier feels the pull of enlisting to fulfill a call to serve his or her duty to the United States, Active Duty soldiers are required to sign a contract binding them to up to 6 years of active duty with a total of 8 years of MSO (Military Service Obligation.) The typical contract is 4 years of Active Duty, with 4 years in the Individual Ready Reserve or National Guard or U.S. Army Reserve.
This is an unfair policy. If the Veteran does not choose to re-enlist or continue on with the National Guard or Reserve, they are required to participate in the IRR. It is an unfair interruption in the lives of Veterans whom have served honorably and have no desire to be further associated with the military.
