The electoral college voting system is outdated. Now that votes do not need to be counted manually, and are in fact counted electronically with great accuracy, there is no longer a need for the electoral votes.
Ending the electoral college vote puts the power of each vote back into the hands of the people. In short: It means that each individual vote truly does matter, and can have a significant impact on each presidential election.
As with all forms of voting, the person who has the most votes should win, and the electoral college voting system prevents that. It's time to change this system. It's time to make sure that each individual vote does matter, and will continue to matter in the United States of America.
