End electorial voteing and return to majority rules!

I am proposing that we roll the clock back to the day when WE THE PEOPLE actually had a say so. I would like to end electorial voting and go back to a simple majority rules! It's common sense in todays society that we have and will continue losing say in elections due to the method currently used and when an election is held or any issue on a ballot passes by THE MAJORITY it will then become law and legal.
