End the Embargo Against Cuba— Whose people, not gov. suffer due to an ineffective 50+ yr policy. Let’s try a new way.

Created by D.B. on July 16, 2013

It is time to reevaluate the efficacy of economic sanctions on Cuba. The Embargo stands anachronistically (and perhaps hypocritically) amid a vastly altered global landscape. It has had the inadvertent consequence of providing the Castro regime the political cover of a “Goliath” to point at— shifting focus way from its ongoing human-rights violations.

The Embargo has missed its mark, disproportionately harming the citizens of Cuba, not the Cuban government. So if for no other than humanitarian reasons, let’s investigate other means to encourage democratic reform.
