End the embargo against the Republic of Cuba and allow travel between the United States and that nation.

This is a petition to end the economic and travel embargo against the Republic of Cuba and normalize relations between Cuba and the United States. Both nations could only benefit from this. In addition, it seems ludicrous that the United States would prosecute a citizen who visits Cuba as a tourist, when it is perfectly legal to visit North Korea, Afghanistan, Syria, or Iran as a tourist. Even at the height of the Cold War, it was still legal to travel to the Soviet Union as a tourist. We ask you to open the way for us to become friends with our neighbors and to once again enjoy their hospitality.
