Since 1962, the United States of America has enforced an embargo against the Republic of Cuba with the ultimate goal of the collapse of the Castro regime and the Communist Party of Cuba's rule over the country. For 50 years, this policy has done little or nothing to destabilize the country, and has become a way for the Cuban Government to easily convince its citizens of the evils of the American people, without any evidence otherwise. The recent decision by the Cuban Government to remove exit visa requirements for its citizens means that in effect, Cubans are freer than Americans when it comes to making travel decisions. In addition, by opening the passage for American citizens to travel to Cuba, the Cuban Government will be proven wrong in its propaganda against Americans and capitalism.
