The 50-year-old embargo on Cuba is an outdated relic. In today's connected world, it makes no sense to have artificial barriers in place. Cuba is now moving toward free markets and has reduced limits on travel by the Cuban people. The embargo has become an embarrassment and source of conflict between the United States and our allies. Not to mention an annual cost exceeding $1 billion to the American people. China is now our largest trading partner. If the USA can have open relations with China, we can certainly end the Cuba embargo too.
