There are an estimated 300+million cigars sold in the United States every year. The most storied and sought after cigars were those from Cuban cigar companies years ago.
Ending the trade embargo with Cuba would do much more than just bolster the cigar industry though. Increased travel and tourism would be a boon to both the economies of Cuba and the United States. Obviously our country could use the increased revenue In these uncertain economic times.
It is also widely believed that increased trade and improved economic conditions in Cuba could do more good toward ending the mistreatment and imprisonment of political dissidents than the current policy.
The time has come and the economic boost to both countries would be a more than welcome intended consequence.
