End Employer Use of Credit Checks

Created by K.M. on April 02, 2014

In America today, employers are allowed to use credit checks in hiring and promotion. The EEOC has deemed that these types of credit checks are discriminatory in most cases and hurt women, minorities, the long-term unemployed, and those with disabilities - yet they are still legal and keep millions from obtaining stable work. Senator Elizabeth Warren introduced similar legislation in December, but Congress has done nothing. Meanwhile, millions are without work and many are the long-term unemployed who are being discriminated against through the use of credit checks during the hiring process. Please sign my petition to eliminate employment discrimination for millions of highly qualified Americans.
