End Employment Discrimination of Individuals Without College Degree for Jobs Where Type of Degree Not Relevant

Created by B.D. on January 06, 2013

Many employers currently discriminate against applicants by requiring a college degree.

Unless a job requires a degree in a SPECIFIC area, it should be unlawful to discriminate against candidates simply based upon having ANY degree.

Many candidates would otherwise qualify for positions based upon experience.

Most people who have a undergrad degree in X end up working in Y or Z, unrelated to their specific area of education, yet are unfairly given an advantage over a candidate without a degree who may even have more experience.

This inequity is further illustrated by many examples of innovative leaders in recent history without a college degree; Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Richard Branson, Michael Dell, etc.

What if Apple or Microsoft had required a college degree for CEO?
