End the FAA ban on flights to Israel's Ben Gurion Airport

Created by J.T. on July 23, 2014

Israel's Ben Gurion Airport is as safe as any US airport, and far safer than other airports where there is no US flight ban. The combination of distance from Gaza and Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system have protected flights from the scourge of Hamas terrorism. Additionally, the issue of ground to air missiles which caused the tragedy over separatist airspace in Ukraine is simply not an issue at Ben Gurion due to Israeli security measures. The fact is that Israel's only international airport is far safer than the airports of Afghanistan or Yemen, where US carriers continue to fly.

By cutting off US traffic to Ben Gurion Airport, the FAA has effectively imposed a boycott on the Jewish state that will not go unnoticed in the world. The ban should be lifted immediately.
