End the Failed Drug Prohibition Policy Known As "The War On Drugs"--The Root Cause of Gang Gun Violence in Chicago

My petition asks that the federal policy of drug prohibition, which has been an abject failure in every way possible, be ended. The prohibition has only served to create a huge black market in drugs, which is controlled mainly by gangs. These gangs then use guns to support their drug sellling activities, causing very high rates of gun homocide. This is the root cause of all the gang gun violence in Chicago, and the reason the city has extremely high homocide numbers. End the "War On Drugs" and you will go a long way to stopping the otherwise out-of-control gun violence in Chicago.
