End the Failed War on Drugs

Created by B.C. on November 13, 2012

We call upon President Barack Obama to end the "War on Drugs", which in our opinion is modern day Prohibition. Like in the early 1900s, Prohibition has not only proven to fail in its objective, but instead put more money into the hands of cartels and put more Americans in danger, as well as waste Billions of taxpayers' dollars each year.

The Drug War has made criminals out of otherwise law-abiding citizens, cost the taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars, made drugs more dangerous, created powerful criminal syndicates, increased violent crime, corrupted law enforcement at all levels, and expanded the size and scope of government.[1]

So we peacefully ask President Obama to work towards the end to the Drug War and end modern day Prohibition.
