End the FCC Lifeline project and stop wasting money being extorted from hardworking, bill-paying phone users.

Created by N.E. on February 13, 2013

The government charges hardworking people who pay their phone bills a monthly charge which pays for subsidizing phone service for poor people. The problem is that, there is not verification of eligibility for this program that has been going on since 1984. Cell phones are a luxury you should not have if you cannot afford it. I do not want to pay for anybody's cell phone service. This program cost $2.2 billion in 2012 and 41% of beneficiaries were unverified. I am tired of paying for moochers. Stop this wasteful program that penalizes hardworking people now!
