Marriage discrimination which prohibits LGBT citizens from marrying the person of their choice is a causation of Government intervention in the institution of marriage. When any law or regulation is passed that affects marriage you have a combination of Church and state. As marriage is a religious institution. LGBT couples would be able to marry by seeking out religious institutions or individuals in a free marriage market.
