End federal contributions for health insurance costs for the 535 members of congress and thousands of Capital Hill staff

Created by J.M. on August 08, 2013

As a "slap in the face" of the average working American tax payer, the Office of Personnel Management has decided to continue with federal contributions to congressional members and staff related to the cost of coverage purchased through health insurance exchanges as mandadted by Obamacare. Elected officials in congress, along with their staff, should bear the full financial burden of Obamacare that oridnary citizens will endure. This is just one more mechanism to shaft the middle class, and it is in line with waivers and exemptions already afforded to the politically connected.

Federal subsidies to conrgressional members and staff for health insurance costs should be eliminated by federal statute as a condition of proceeding with the disaster that is Obamacare.
