Federal employees have harbored enough of the "necessary" penny pinching in Washington, D.C. as a result of the ongoing sequester. Federal employees have not seen a cost-of-living adjustment in three years. Due to the Federal government's hiring freeze that has been in effect since 2010, employees are now, maybe more than ever, having to do more work with less resources because personnel is not hiring to replace workers who have left, or retired. All the while, Congress doesn't seem to be willing to take pay cuts, or furlough days. Federal civil servants deserve better than the shaft they've received in the last three years. 10 furlough days without pay is just another slap in the face to an already disillusioned workforce.
