End the federal prohibition of marijuana

I am starting this potition on the behalf of the American people. The prohibition of marijuana is a futile fight that only waste tax payers money and clogs our prison system. As this election season has shown the people of Colorodo and Washington have spoken and I believe each state should choose what is right for that state. The tax benifits alone should sway you to do this as well as the money saved from the criminal cases that would not have to be tried. As with alcohol prohibition when marijuana prohibition ends you will be taking money directly out of the hands of violent street gangs as well as mexican drug cartells. There are many more great reasons to end marijuana prohibition and I could go on and on. Please do the right thing for our country and sign my petition. Thanks so much.
