Let's stop the filibustering procedures of the US senate. One person should not be able to stop our government from functioning! Our constitution states the president is the only person who has veto powers which can be overturned with a 2/3 vote by congress. The filibuster process vetoes the president, congress and our constitutional rights daily. When a legislative procedure proves to be greater than our constitution it must be eliminated. The filibuster has proved to be a congressional veto by its' action and history. A right to debate is important but shouldn't stop our right to proceed with a majority vote.
"Let's put an end to filibustering in the Senate. Filibustering should be done in rare occasions with clearly defined parameters and should not require a super-majority vote!"
