Grocery stores and Supermarkets are throwing out roughly 40% of their goods. They toss it in dumpsters, lock them or pour bleach on them to make inedible. 48 million Americans live in food insecure homes, many not knowing where their next meal will come from. Something has to stop. Countries like France have made it Illegal for stores to throw out their " expired" food. We need a similar system. Have stores donate their items to homeless shelters or food pantries and Help End Hunger In America! This could be the solution, it is 2016 no one should go hungry while we fill up landfills with good food.
