The children of congressional representatives all receive free college currently. This is morally, ethically, and societally wrong. If we are a country where "we hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal," (Declaration of Independence) then we have failed. Just because someone's parent is a member of Congress, and makes almost $200,000 a year, shouldn't mean that they get to go to college for free. To put this in perspective a 4-year degree at a prestigious Ivy League University will cost less with housing than most of these representatives make in one year. Why is this a benefit to their children when they can actually afford to send their children to college unlike most people in America?
