The ongoing nuclear accident at Fukushima is poisoning the oceans, and endangering the health of all life on the planet. This is a global disaster that merits forceful intervention by the world community including the United States. We urge the President to take whatever actions are necessary to end the disaster as quickly as possible, to contain the radioactive pollution, and to monitor the spread of radiation that has already been released. Radiation doesn't respect national boundaries. The response must also be international.
