Gerrymandering is defined as: "to divide (a territorial unit) into election districts to give one political party an electoral majority in a large number of districts while concentrating the voting strength of the opposition in as few districts as possible."
This has become a major problem in our political system. The act of Gerrymandering results in a representative government that is demographically disproportionate to the actual electorate. We need to find a way to reset the districts to a "default" type setting. This can be achieved through a bi-partisan means. If an end to gerrymandering cannot occur at least make it so that redistricting must happen through a bi/non-partisan group to achieve fairness.
