My brother recently got permanently deferred from donating plasma because he wore a dress while wearing pants. The reason they cited was something along the lines of someone presenting as a gender different than assigned at birth statistically has had a higher chance of having had "gay" sex, and thus, a higher chance of having HIV/AIDS. I petition the United States Government to change this arbitrary rule because the clothing you wear has no effect whatsoever on your plasma. It's like saying women who wear pants (which used to be a traditional male garment) are more likely to have had sex with another woman. Completely absurd, no?
