The censorship of television by the FCC is in violation of the first amendment.
Additionally, in the past there were only a few channels, which meant there were not many options if the viewer disagreed with the content, and limited technologies on the consumer side to censor content.
Today a tremendous number of TV channels exist and the technology exists for people to censor content that they feel they or their children should not be watching. Most, if not all consumers, already own set top boxes which have these options.
We urge the administration to work to eliminate the outdated and unconstitutional censorship of television by the FCC.
