This petition is a three part plan to reducing corruption in the government. The ability of representatives and senators to serve nearly indefinite terms increases the likelihood and efficacy of "dirty money" in politics. Furthermore, the self-given perks of working in congress harms governmental integrity (not to mention, fiscal stability). Therefore, the following actions should be taken:
1: Impose a term limit of 2 terms for both representatives and senators.
2: Bar those in congress from working in the same branch of the government (legislative) for 5 years from their last day in their last term.
3. Change the pay for representatives and senators to the median household income level of the previous fiscal year.
